Piero Paolo Gesualdi is the creator, co founder and inspiration behind WorldWeave. Piero is well known for his entrepreneurial and innovative approach, expanding the boundaries across architecture and interiors, furniture, fashion and textiles, hospitality and retail.
Piero studied architecture in the early 1970s and after a sojourn travelling the world he returned to Melbourne and crossed into fashion establishing the successful Masons retail stores, introducing into Australia cutting edge international luxury fashion labels including Jean-Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo and Comme de Garcons. He also designed and manufactured the exclusive Masons line for his Melbourne and Sydney stores.
During the late 1980s, Piero opened the iconic Melbourne restaurant/café Rosati’s in Flinders Lane and Pieroni’s in Toorak Road, Melbourne. Piero designed the interiors, which were widely featured in local and international interior magazines.
Recently, Piero together with designer Sara Thorn, established WorldWeave, designing, manufacturing and wholesaling signature interior and fashion collections of fine textiles and products.
